About
Indonesian Dance Theatre is a trusted dance academy established in December 2015 with the fruit of a deep passion towards Indonesia’s rich and diverse art and culture.The aim was to provide a healthy and great education not only in technique but also train them in a good manner with high self-confidence and discipline.In August 2023, IDT opened their 2nd branch at Pantai Indah Kapuk.
In July 2024 IDT opened the newest branch at Green Lake City.Join us!

To raise the standard of Indonesia’s cultural dance and to spark a movement that will unite every passionate dancer and artist, all together collaborating and creating a masterpiece on an international scale.

Principal
Sisilia Oei
Sisilia learned to dance when she was four years old and has fallen in love with dance ever since. When she was seven, she was introduced to ballet dancing. She began to teach dancing at fourteen and started to master other types of dancing such as Modern Dance, Jazz Dance, Contemporary Dance, Latin Dance, Hip Hop dance and other cultural dances from Southeast Asia and Indonesia’s cultural dances such as Java Dance, Bali Dance, Sumatra Dance, Jaipong Dance, etc.Graduated from The Royal Academy of Dance London with ARAD from which she also obtained her Teaching Certificate (RAD TC), her Advanced Diploma of Dance Teaching from The Australian Ballet School Melbourne in 1999, her Teaching Certificate from Beijing Dance Academy Chinese Dance Syllabus Founder and Principal and her Teaching Certificate from British Ballet Organization (BBO) London in 2018.She has numerous achievements from international dance events and competitions such as the Peter Oxford Dance Championship Sydney, South East Asia Dance Troupe Hong Kong, National Ballet Competition in Indonesia, and became Indonesia’s representative soloist in Beijing, Jinan and Mongolia for International Cultural Exchange. She was featured as a choreographer for the Langit Biru movie in 2012 and as a ballet teacher role and choreographer in one of the dance scenes in the Danur 2 Maddah movie in 2018. In June 2023 Sisilia won the Gold Award for the ballet solo category at Canaan Dance Golden Age Online Competition in Singapore.Sisilia created the Indonesian Dance Theatre in December 2015, and as principal at the school, IDT has produced a variety of musical and dance productions, international dance workshops and dance competitions.
Classes & Programs
IDT COMPANY PROGRAM
This program provides a facility and work field for prospective dancers, dance teachers and professional dancers to work part-time or full-time in every different kind of dance, like ballet, contemporary, traditional Indonesian dance, modern dance and hip hop.
IDT ACADEMY PROGRAM
This program provides a teaching system based on a certified curriculum, adapted from various countries such as London, Australia, America, China, Cuba, Russia, Egypt, Tahiti, Korea, France, India, and is taught by teachers of an international standard.For the Classical Ballet academy program, IDT held International Examination and Certification from British Ballet Organization (BBO) from London.
